Serving the students of CCSD.

From 2017 to 2018, I served as an Experience UGA Ambassador and Director of Community Outreach. Experience UGA is a partnership between the Clarke County School District and the University of Georgia, which aims to bring every Clarke County student (PreK-12) to UGAʼs campus every year. Through a variety of field trips, CCSD students participate in hands-on, curricular-based learning activities. Increased exposure to college life through Experience UGA fosters interest in the pursuit of higher education among Clarke County students. Over the summer of 2018, I worked as a Marketing intern in the Office of Service-Learning, and helped Experience UGA create new promotional materials. Some examples of my work can be found below.

I created an information brochure that gave an overview of what Experience UGA is and what the trips were for the 2018-2019 year. This brochure was given to the parents and employees in the Clarke County School District. The brochure was placed in all of the schools, and were given out in the back to school event, where teachers prepared their classrooms for the new school year.

For each of the grade-level trips (Pre-K through 12th) and the enrichment trips (extracurricular trips high school students could sign up for), I made a trip highlights flyer like the one above. They were given out to parents at the beginning of the academic year, so they understand what particular trip their student(s) would be going on.
